5 year plan

Where Am I now? I have a lot of skills already developed that could be useful to a variety of companies, as well as experience working at the British Ceramics Biennial. Thanks to this work experience I have a reference from some of the core team at BCB, and an understanding of what events running is like behind the scenes. I have done a lot of commission work for individuals which I have had extremely good feedback on, and this has also toughened me up to criticism. I have also worked with organisations such as fluffy butts rescue and bunny angels which are charities that I have provided artwork for, both branding and fundraising.  I am yet to create a strong portfolio, or to become certified in any of the adobe programs, which I really hope to have done before the start of my 5 year plan. I intend to have made a good impression on the National Literacy trust with my project 'story quest' which I will be completing this semester,  I need to be on the look out for more opportun...

Self portrait to represent myself as an artist  (work in progress) Who am I? I am a versatile artist able to adapt to multiple styles, briefs and formats. I have skills that are very employable within many of the creative fields. I have some experience doing commission work as well as experience working for companies and organisations, for example the British Ceramics Biennial. I have multiple professional references and I have worked with multiple charities.  Where do I want to go? I want to create links to other professionals who I can work and collaborate with throughout my career. I am especially interested in advertising, editorial and publishing. What am I about? Career Paths

Image
Creative goals - Establish a reputation as a reliable illustrator, including building a linked in presence. - Establish an online presence, currently have Instagram (1k followers) Facebook, website that needs work, linked in which needs work. - Land a junior position at a company  - Open an online store for prints as an extra income stream - Build a really good portfolio - Have enough work to tailor my CV to different companies I am open to working in pretty much any creative sector, I just want to get my foot in the door. Down the line may present more opportunities to pick and choose work but for now I want to have a Yes attitude to all opportunities.  I know I don't enjoy packaging, it just didn't stimulate me creatively. I don't want to be freelance, I want to know what my income is each month while I am establishing myself, stability is really important to me. I am open to working anywhere in the country, potentially abroad but my partner also needs to be able to f...
